Users may have multiple time series data sets in chart that fall into data groupings. For example a single chart with multiple flow or pressure sensors. They want to be able to group those by type in the chart so that all the flow sensors use the same y axis and all the pressure sensors use a different y axis. (They want to do this dynamically in the chart without having to use sensor groups.) Ideally this would also visually group these items in the legend.
